Do I need the tag fitted?
No. The HoldenTek tag is self-install. You unbox it and hide it in or on your vehicle yourself, so there are no installation visits and no time off the road.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 2.5 years.
Is the tag waterproof?
Yes. It is IP67 waterproof, so it can be hidden on the outside of a vehicle as well as inside.
How big is the tag?
The size and width of a credit card, which makes it easy to hide.
What can HoldenTek protect?
Cars, vans, motorbikes, tractors, lorries and trailers. It is also used to protect roof tents.
What happens if my vehicle is stolen?
Hold one button in the HoldenTek app to start a recovery, then use the Call HQ button to speak directly to HoldenTek HQ. You'll get three update calls: when we have confirmed the GPS location, when our personnel have a visual on your vehicle or asset, and when the area is secured and it's safe for you to collect. Our personnel then escort you away from the scene.
Do I need to tell the police if my vehicle is stolen?
No. Our operation is known to police forces across the UK and our personnel locate and secure your vehicle themselves. The only time we involve the police is if a vehicle ends up on private land. We contact the local force, our operation is prioritised and our personnel are escorted onto the site.
Do I need to tell my insurance company?
If your vehicle is recovered with no damage, you can simply come and collect it without involving your insurer. If there is any damage, speak to your insurer as you normally would.

Our security personnel are positioned across the UK, excluding Northern Ireland.

Our average hunt and secure is 46 minutes and our quickest is 27 minutes. That is our track record to date, not a promise for any individual vehicle.

Can a thief find the tag?
The HoldenTek tag is Built to Stay Hidden. Unlike consumer trackers such as AirTags, it isn't picked up by the everyday phone and Bluetooth scans thieves use to sweep a vehicle, because the way it sends data keeps that data hidden and masked. It's also small and wireless, so you can hide it wherever suits your vehicle, and a thief doesn't know where to look.

Is there a monthly cost?
Yes. HoldenTek protection includes a monthly subscription paid by Direct Debit. Call us or send an enquiry and we'll give you a quote for your vehicle.
When can I contact you?
Our office is open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. If your vehicle is stolen, our HQ theft response team is available 24/7, 365 days a year through the Call HQ button in the app.
Do you reward referrals?
